ANTONY WEIR: GROUP CEO

I started in recruitment in 1997 and over the next few years built up enough confidence to make the big step of leaving a well-established, multi-branched national recruiter to establish my own business in 2002 – Optima Site Solutions. 

During the early years of Optima, I met with many talented recruiters that I had previously worked with and, whilst not directly involved with their business, I helped and encouraged them to make the jump to start their own businesses. 

I took this a step further in December 2008 when I helped create a construction recruiter that today exceeds £20M revenue and with whom I remain friends with today. These early start up experiences were a steep learning curve which subsequently allowed me to help launch numerous other businesses. As well as this, I have been given the opportunity to work as a consultant within several sectors, allowing me to help solve problems and generate viable business opportunities.

 My down time is spent coaching at Hampton Richmond FC Academy and following Newcastle United FC.
